West Windsor Township is located just southeast of Princeton Borough in Mercer County. The township was incorporated in 1797 and encompasses seven hamlets: Port Mercer, Penn's Neck, Clarksville, Princeton Junction/Berrien City, Grover's Mill, Dutch Neck and Edinburg. West Windsor is the home of the Princeton Junction train station on the northeast corridor, making the area a highly desirable community for commuters.
The school system at West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional has a superb reputation (ranked fourth among 361 districts in the 2000 SAT's for New Jersey). Mercer County Community College is also located in the township. The communities are adjacent to the Route One corridor, which includes many state-of-the-art office parks, corporate centers and shopping malls.
